Spyware Tracking Cookies

I am thinking of switching to Malwarebytes as my principle sale to clients but am concerned it does not remove tracking cookies. Anyone have any suggestions for what we can use to accomplish tracking cookie removal. While I agree they really aren't spyware, a large accumulation of them will slow browsers down.

Re: Spyware Tracking Cookies

Hello Rich-M
This is the only temp cleaner I recommend/install on every computer I clean/repair. Its quick, easy and user friendly.
ATF-Cleaner compliments MBAM due to its a stand alone tool and works on 98, XP,Vista,2000 and W7. ( Ati hasnt updated his site)

I dont reccomemd CCleaner due to the Tools/Registry Cleaner aboard.

Kewl I didn't know that does these thanks sho-dan.....now what I see on this is "cookies" but I really don't want to delete all cookies as that makes it Hell to add back all logins and passwords, I want to delete only the tracking cookies Sas deletes and Mbam doe not. Unless one of the other categories does these

Re: Spyware Tracking Cookies

Hello Rich

This works on IE, (FF/Opera have password removal)option I dont save my passwords on any site but I ran a ATF test and it pass. My password was saved on the MBAM forum and now I'll try KH forum next.

Internet Options > Content > AutoComplete > Usernames and passwords on forms/ Prompt me to save passwords, check both boxes to save passwords

Well Rich , it's a give an take. Malwarebytes is focus on Malware (period)

MBAM dont detect cookies , .pf (prefetch files) are not malware. As sho-dan mention, It is standard procedure to clear temp file locations when doing a cleanup so it is pointless scanning them.

MBAM is geared towards our needs since the developers are in the trenches with us. SAS has been going south for sometime. IMO

The primary reason MBAM does so well, is that it is community lead and gets lots of submissions from the anti-malware commmunity. Ex: sho-dan is one of the "Rogue Reporters" there in the Malwarebytes Forum. MBAM keeps improving everyday.

Re: Spyware Tracking Cookies

I hear you Kenny but one of the things I can see I will really miss is the "Repair Tools" in Sas that Mbam has no equivalent of that can really repair a system after damage. Mbam is also more "mechanical" with limited update ability where you have to select a single time to do that which for my clients is tough and I guess it is just more "spartan" to me but I do see it doing something in the background which I can't say I have ever seen Sas do.

Re: Spyware Tracking Cookies

By the way Rich. You mention sales. You mean selling the product. As in the pro version?

Re: Spyware Tracking Cookies

Difference is background protection and automatic updates. And Malwarebytes is designed to work hand in hand with your Antivirus software as well. I think this is your question?
